Supporting Treehouse Early Learning Centre: A Call to Unity for the Queensland ECEC Sector
The Australian Childcare Alliance Queensland (ACA Qld) extends its deepest sympathies and unwavering support to the management, professional educators, and families of Treehouse Early Learning Centre, a valued member of our organisation, following the devastating loss of their service.
The sudden closure and destruction of the centre represents a profound loss to the local community and the broader early childhood education and care (ECEC) sector. Beyond the loss of a physical facility, the incident has caused immediate and significant disruption to the daily lives, working schedules, and routines of dozens of families and children who relied on the service.
To ensure the Treehouse leadership team has our full organisational backing, our Executive General Manager and Membership Officer recently spent time on-site to offer direct, practical assistance as they navigate the complexities of the immediate aftermath. Our focus remains on providing quiet, meaningful support to help the team manage the transition and recovery process.
The ECEC sector in Queensland is fundamentally built on connection, resilience, and mutual care. Right now, one of our own members is facing an unprecedented crisis. We are formally calling upon our wider network of providers, professional educators, and sector partners across the state to unite, offer support, and demonstrate the collective strength and compassion that defines our profession.
